mood - depressed but still smiling._.
yes. im back from ATC 2008.
from ubin.
got alot things to say.
DAY1
1pm left classroom with tianli and went for lunch.
2plus pm fall in at foyer/car porch.
took bus to changi ferry terminal.
on the way was talking to squadmates, trying to relieve our stress.
reached jetty.
took speedboat.
was kinda of uncomfortable.
enjoyed the breeze but not the feeling of the boat rockking like mad.
haha.
the boat was swaying with the waves and i didnt really like that feeling.
and finally.
we reached ubin.
was led by sir raymond to sec3 campsite while we waited for the rest of our squadmates&seniors.
after that we went on our way to our campsite, which was approximately 5km away from the jetty.
around 45minutes walk.
after reaching, we sat in the canteen and waited for the other schools.
after that the guys went to carry the tent stuff.
then we fall in after all the schools reached.
we were addressed by sir ivan.
we went to get twine for the tents after that but i fell-.-
sprained my right ankle for the second time in my life.
guess im a super accident-prone.
kept falling down for nothing-.-
and we started to pitch our tents, 8 for the girls and 10plus for the guys.
its kinda of surprising to see so many guys more than girls as rvnp always had more girls than guys yea. (:
so yea.
we tried very hard to pitch the tents.
had a tough time.
the ground was much tougher than imagined._.
the pegging was really difficult and i got a few blisters on my right palm.
at first there was only me,tianli and shirley and tianli to one tent as we had lack of manpower.
but we were glad that the other school's cadets and our squadmates came to help after they finished theirs. :DDDDDD
after much work, ours was done too.
and then we went up to help the guys. [they had much more to pitch]
and we went down after the guys gathered.
and we had to abandon 1 tent as we didnt have the time.
so we fall in and were split into our ATC groups.
im in GROUP FIVE!
with my 3 other beloved squadmates, namely, jingxian, xiuhan and kenneth.
of course theres NITRO(primary school friend) in my group too!!
however kaisheng was in group 3 if im not wrong.
so yea.
we had our dinner.
my first time outdoor-cooking since ITC i was a casualty when our squad outdoor-cooked.
after dinner,
we were further addressed by sir ivan.
we took attendance, got to know our tent groupings.
then, we went for wash-up.
and finally.
SLEEP. :D
it wasnt as hard as i thought to sleep in the tent.
i slpt at the one of the furthest end of the tent.
i slpt at the one of the furthest end of the tent.
followed by simin(nanhuahigh) and jingxian, xiuhan, priya(ps. im sorry if i spell it wrongly._.) and finally radin(tanglinsec).
and we put the prickly heat powder ALL around our tent, preventing all insects and whatever there is.
and yea.
we slpt.
but then, in the middle of the night, radin woke up and found that her side of the tent was INFESTED with ants.
the ants was on her whole body and her bags, etc.
everybody then woke up.
and we checked and found that only her side of the tent had ants.
and with mdm shiqian's consent, we carried all our stuff and went to the canteen to sleep for the night.

DAY 2
woke up quite early.
because we dont have a watch/clock/anything that can tell time, we woke up by instinct.
and we went to brush our teeth, wash-up and changed. (:
after that, we waited for quite a long time before others started making their way to the toilets.
we sat at the canteen benches and kept dozing off._.
finally, sir ivan blew his whistle and we fall in.
we had roll call.
and kenneth didnt know the whole procedure of roll call.
i forgot if its simin or me who did the roll call [each of us did once]
and yea. we roll called.
attendance was also taken.
and we had MORNING PT:D
sir ivan took us.
did less than 30pumpings, around 30 counts of jumping jacks and some crunches.
and we had breakfast:D
shared a packet of instant noodles with jingxian(:
after breakfast, we were addressed by sir ivan who told us our 3 major activities for the day-
1. land expedition
2. Adventure Training Facilities
3. Kayaking
for our group and group 6, we had land expedition first.
so we were under sir liankiet and sir kokleong.
and we went in two rows,
first led by qingsi and kenneth.
and we went to the first checkpoint.
on the way we cheered. [continuous]
and we kept cheering purple light because thats the common cheer among all the units.
haha.
was funny& fun.
and then, sir liankiet had no choice but to ban us from singing purple light again. xDD
and we had nothing to cheer!
so we kept quiet and proceed.
but sir liankiet made us do hornet drill as promised.
LOL.
so we did.
and we did stunts[invented by sir liankiet] such as rolling left and right while in hornet position.
was quite fun actually.

enjoyed time spent with groupmates thats why;D
and we proceeded on,
cheering and cheering.
me and kenneth was appointed by sir kokleong to lead purple light.
lol. cuz kenneth was mumbling that he didnt know c1-30 and sir kokleong heard him.
LOL. so we led.
haha. xD
very fun land expedition although quite tiring to walk for such a long distance.
however, we didnt have time to go to all the checkpoints.
as we walked too slowly and had a lack of time.
so we walked back.
we sat down and sir kokleong told us about the other 2 checkpoints we didnt go.
coool.
one of it is the 'bermuda triangle' and other 1 is 'chicken feet' if im not wrong.
from the map can see that the junction formed a chicket feet shape. and the bermuda triangle was formed by trees i think[forgot:X]
so yea.
we went for lunch.
however, my back started aching then.

so after lunch i went to the sick bay to rest.
ps. im sorry grpmates, didnt join you guys for the 2 other activities):
and i rested at the sick bay.
must really thank the mdm there, she was very nice.
helped my spray this muscle relieve thingy and helped me get ice.
although the stuff helped a little but the aching worsened. ):
in the end, the sirs&mdms called mr loke and got him to talk to me.
didnt want to go home.
but mr oh came and told me that its better to go home. ):
didnt know why i cried after he said a few lines.
LOL. so sad can.
i didnt want to come back!!
but still.
had to.
mr loke called my dad.
and it seemed super serious as mr oh, mr loke, mdm khang and ms tan all came to the sick bay.
so yea.
two of the ctss girls helped me get my bags.
im so sorry that you guys went twice. sorry!
after waiting for some time, i went on the van with mr oh, miss tan.
seniors huimin and junjie(they have CIP at vietnam the next day) were on the van too.
ps. i bet i looked awful then, cuz i cried non-stop before that._.
and so, the uncle drove us to the jetty.
so we alighted and mr oh passed my stuff to snr junjie.
we got on the speedboat and left ubin..... ):
i feel damn bad leaving my squaddies, my grpmates at ubin. ):
im so so sorry. )':
the boat ride back was as bad as the ride to ubin on friday. ._.
and snr huimin helped me when i was getting off the boat.
while snr junjie carried my bags and ms tan passed the pink paper to the uncle.
and we went to take ms tan's boyfriend's car.
LOTS of thanks to ms tan and bf!
can see that the sec3 snrs's ATC was really tough and tiring.
cuz snr junjie and huimin fell aslp not long after getting on the car.
im so sorry but snr junjie was rockking with the momentum of the car.
was trying hard to control my laughter. :XXX
cuz he sat in the middle and was rockking left and right.. xD
im so sorry. i didnt mean to laugh but its funny:XX
and snrs alighted at clementi mrt station.
didnt have a chance to thank them then.

and ms tan's bf continued sending me back to my hse.
and ms tan accompanied me right up to my doorstep and carried all my stuff.
felt very bad&thankful at the same time.
so yea. thats how my ATC'o8 ended):
it turned out that my back suffered a serious sprain._.
and got a sprained ankle from the fall on the 1st day):
sorry to all grpmates&squadmates for not enduring through the 3D2N ATC 2008 with you guys. i SWEAR that i will endure through ATC 2009 even if i die
