2008年7月24日。
在马来西亚买了九把刀的书，《那些年我们一起追的女孩》。
2011年9月2日。
第一次把整本书完完整整地看完，每一行，每一个字都看得很仔细。

书买了那么久，每次读到一半总是中途放弃。
但是在看了九把刀导的同名电影预告，决定一定要把书看完。
一直到今天，终于看完了。

故事里充满了感动，期待到戏院看这部同名的电影。
(在 Youtube 上先看了电影的电视特辑，听着九把刀的介绍、心得还有最重要，拍这部电影的原因，不知怎么，感动得哭了。还有，看到柯震东那场哭戏，也跟着哭了。)

一部记载着青春的小说，一段真实的故事。

Merry Christmas people! Time to recall my 3 weeks (well-spent)..

In a flash, things ended.
3 weeks of training ended.
On 18 Dec 2010, we officially POP-ed.

As I recall this 3 weeks, I thought, time really flies.
Just before the course, I kept wondering, how am I gonna bear through all this.
3 weeks indeed seemed long and scary.

The process was yet enriching and inspiring.
Made alot of new friends, gained alot of knowledge, got a deeper understanding of things.

Suddenly I was glad that I actually went for the course, aware of the responsibilities and duties that came along with it.

Residential Course 1 - HTA
We started off as 36, unfamiliar with each other.
Still remembered the day we walked into the drill shed, looking at the unfamiliar faces, trying to find the board which supposedly had our squad allocations.
Then, we finally went to fall in, got our allocations.
The first time I realise, I am part of Alpha Squad, together with all my Area 16 friends, and of course, with ky and zhengxiong (these were the few I knew then)
Really happy to be in a squad in which I know at least a few people.
On the first day, Alpha the duty squad, was bombarded with alot of information.
Met Instructors Ma'am LiLing and Ma'am JingHong.
Felt very blessed to have them as our squad instructors, very patient and forgiving Ma'ams.
Met my dearest Bunk 39 mates for the first time.
Other than Liyan, there's Linda (cute and high girl!), Tai-Tai Wei Jing, Sexy Hotpants girl Chun Hui, Grp I/C Jas, Awesome Nurul, Zai Amelia (She's Chinese!) and Thumbs-up Puay Ling :D

Polishing boots at night, ironing uniform in the dark became things we had to do every night, but it was quite fun actually, amidst chatting about our day with our individual squads.
Slowly, got to know the rest of the squad, nice people like Syariff, Juliene, Geraldine, Nasuha, Ho Ming and many more.
Still remember how we were the first group to conduct foot drills 1 for the squad.
Thought Ma'am JH was being really lenient, 'cos I thought I kinda screwed up but yup.
Nonetheless, really fun to take lessons with Daniel and Juliene (:
Things got abit rowdy as we got to know each other more and was quite hard to shut the squad up at times, everyone wants to be heard that's why.
Meals at HTA was not bad really, just that portion was really huge, had to share with Liyan.
Thanks to all the people who helped collect food for us over the 2 weeks. (Especially the guys)
Remembered that our goal was to develop a Special Bonding? (Guess we did it somehow) :D

Residential Course 2 - HTA
Had a recharge of batteries over the weekend, spammed the whole world with updates about us.
And yes, we were back, to HTA.
Back to Bunk 39.
It was actually fun, waiting for the duty squads to open up our bunks at night, as we rush into our bunks, grab our stuff and chiong to the toilet down the corridor.
The best feeling comes only when you realise you are the first to reach the bathroom. HAHA.
Bathing at your top speed, afraid to choke up the queue and rushing back to bunks to queue for the iron.
Things were routine yet exciting each night.
Enjoyed the classroom lessons, where we recapped and got deeper knowledge of the hard skills that we have. Got to know alot of things I didn't know of, weird but it felt kinda of nice.
Still remembered the night we stayed up to study for CA2, together with UIA the next day.
Nearly died, adding to that, instructors inspected and made sure everyone was sleeping.
Woke up at 3plus to polish boots, iron uniform and last minute cram in stuff.
Everyone was tired but it was worth it.
The last night spent at HTA, I felt quite emotional.
Thinking that it was the last night we bunked together, last day we spend as Alpha Squad (technically not the case but ya).
All the memories we shared kinda of flashed back and things felt quite sad.
And yes, soon, RC2 came to an end.
Laid infront of us, our final challenge ATC.

ATC - Camp Resilience
At Ubin, when we reached, remembered how we sat around and waited for logi.
After tent-pitching, it was Camp Familiarisation.
It was then Popeyes came into action.
Although quite screwed up here and there but glad that Camp Fam had something done (:
Well done guys! (If not for Cat 1, it would have been more fun I guess)
Team Building Games was fun too, especially Jumping Two-Twos.
Had a great deal of fun, laughing like mad when Dylan with a slip of his tongue, made everyone's day.
Rafting was really fun, got to work with many of Popeyes.
Funny like crazy when we had to point and draw in mid-air and couldn't understand each other.
Unable to talk and without sufficient beforehand planning, really amazing how we could actually make a raft that floats and is really stable.
Although we were all sweating like mad in our dark long sleeved shirts and from all the pulling of manila hemps, it was really enjoyable.
Jokers like Hongjie, Kelvin and Weiquan made it really fun.
Land Exp was cool too, very well-planned out! (By Superman!)
Together we are Super Popeyes woohoo ^^
Went to Secret Garden, a few huts and also Rock Temple and the Pekan Quarry.
Got alot of new knowledge once again and learned alot about motivation and perseverence along the way.
Oh, and the German who owned the fish HAHA.
Nearly died at the last lap of the Land Exp (Marshal thought I was asthmatic .______.)
But had a great feeling, accomplishing yet another 4hours plus of land expedition.
ATC was tough but could have been tougher.
The countless meals of maggie mee, and 少到可怜的canned food together with Popeyes.
Thanks to all the guys who helped us with washing of our utensils and messtins :D
Will always remember the performance item by the instructors: 'Fireworks' by Katy Perry.

Passing Out Parade (POP) - Unity Square
Was tricked by FI Azli, thinking that our parade was cancelled.
But really glad it wasn't.
Really glad it didn't rain, although it should have rained.
(Thankyou clouds!)
Everything was smooth and we all marched out in White, proud and smart.
It was a day we all waited for, training so hard for 3 weeks.
The day we held the M16, with bayonets, with white gloves, in No. 1 Ceremonial Dress.
It's a pity Alpha didn't pass out as 34, but we were 34-strong in our minds, in our hearts.
As my mum and my sis don the rank on my shoulder, I felt the weight, it was weighing down, as if telling me that hey, it is time.
This was it, I passed the last hurdle, with the help of many out there, thankyou guys.

As JX said, the hardest has yet to come. Now that I have cleared the first 3 weeks, the 2 years ahead is probably the main challenge.

For supporting me in everything I do, no matter what. Although I know my dad wasn't really keen on letting me go for it, but him waking up early every morning just to run and train with me for the course showed something. Thankyou daddy (: And thankyou mummy, for cooking delicious stuff for me over the weekend, for preparing me with all sorts of things like sunblock, counterpain ointment, insect repellent, anything you can think of. (: Of course, jie, for being behind me all the time, telling me to jiayou and stuff (And for taking care of my then dying cactus!). Love y'all :D

Although most of y'all didn't say much, thankyou for the support. Especially for JX, Pris, OM, Oon, Van, Matt and Jovi - for giving me the utmost support, the affirmation, the encouragement, the strength to carry on. And of course, for fetching me from the ferry point, for the pleasant surprise at my door and all the sweet msgs. (: Thanks guys, never would be able to do all this without you guys.

A really cheerful bunch who made ATC very fulfilling. Went through all the sweaty times, did all the saikang together, shared funny moments. Even had a very original cheer for ourselves. Things will never be the same without any one of y'all so may Popeyes stay close and all the best guys! :D

As the course draws to a close,
I am gonna miss alot of things.
No more marching around as Alpha,
No more running around in white round neck tees,
No more late night ironing of uniforms,
No more studying with light from handphones,
No more anxious waiting for bunk keys to open bunks,
No more running at top speed to the toilets at night,
No more 'Hey, who got deodorant spray, can lend me?',
No more holding 3-4 cups of cordial drinks for the squad during meals,
No more 'Anyone saw my corporate bag?',
No more late night chatting in the bunks,
'cos we are no longer CITs.

D10, we have completed our 3 weeks of training, now it is time.
May all of us work hard and give back knowledge and values we have gotten from the corps.

Woke up at 5plus this morning and went for a morning run with my dad.
5 rounds around the neighbourhood, didn't time myself though.
Shall run again tomorrow.
Goal: 10 rounds, in 25min
(Shall achieve this before CIBTC which = run every morning)

As I ran, the wind surged past, mind went really blank.
Love it when I ran, don't have to think about anything for that 15min.
Just concentrate on my steps, on my breathing.
Very comfortable.

Although the road ahead may be very hard, but I guess I found my motivation to carry on.
It may not really last, I may fall again anytime, but at least, right now, I found the drive.

^Watching HP7 with jx and pris in ~2.5 hours! Yay ^^

without any confidence and all.

Had this feeling for quite a few times already.
Always manage to get over it very quickly.
Maybe go to sleep and the next day, everything's gone, no tightness in the chest, nothing.
Sometimes, a kbox session, let everything out and all's fine.
But somehow this time felt quite different.

It was so heavy, weighing me down.
Can't do anything about it.
In bed, thinking, thinking and thinking.
It was painful, yet no tears flowed.
Don't know what I should be feeling actually.

Lost all confidence, lost all directions.
I started to question myself.
Why, why do so much? For what, really.
If I don't even find joy, what's the point.
Maybe out of duty, yes, probably.
It's the commitment, I thought.

It is a very tough struggle.
But no matter what, its my own decision.
Nobody forced me into this, I did it to myself.

In times like this, I'm glad that y'all are around.
Sometimes, you don't need people to say you can do it, no matter what, you can do it.
You need people to tell you, no, you can't do it this way, you'll fail, but I know you'll try and you'll do better.

Maybe all along, all that I needed was affirmation, from alot of people, from you guys.

we look back, searching for the people back then.

&here we are, back together again on this day.

Nearly one school term since I last blogged.
Term 3 seems to pass the fastest among all, and here comes EOYs.
On this day, we celebrate Teacher's Day, concert was okay.
Had a great time laughing with yuning, hsiaotien, amanda they all during the ACES Day game.
Officially in Red House now, I miss yellow but oh well.

After concert ended, went to deliver present for Mr Oh.
Had a feeling that I can't really describe.
When we did billibanja around him, when we shook his hand and wished him happy t'cher's day, when he jokingly said hes touched and wanted to tear, when he joined us in cheering our unit cheer, RVNP.
Something sort of came back, I don't know, maybe it's just me.
Missed the times when he was around (technically he still is but ya), when we look up to him, greeting him proudly as 'SIR'.
Deep down within us, he wasn't just a teacher, not just another TO, he was a fantastic Sir, a Sir who deserved our respect and will always do.
All the contributions he had made for the unit, and especially for our squad, too much to mention.
rvnsps107 is where we are not just because of everyone of us in the squad, not just because of our dearest ICs (and NCOs), CIs, HOs and TOs but because of Mr Oh.
He was always there to capture all our moments in RVNP but shared little photos with us, a regret for us, in a way.
Really miss him and appreciate all the hardwork he has put in.
Happy Teacher's Day Mr. Oh :D and yes, RVNP SOLID SAH!

After that, went back to BLG (but didn't go inside) with Claire.
And went to meet Kangjing and gang at JP LJS.
Ate lunch. Many were back, me, Peiling, Claire, Huixian, Jolene, Sheihli, Guakrong, Daniel, Kangjing, Ezor, Ceksin.
Although lunch was pretty quiet but all it matters was we had lunch together (:
Miss laughing like mad at the way KJ and Sheih 'quarrelled', Jolene's laughters.
Suddenly everything started coming back, guess I really miss those times too.
Went for soccer after that, was watching, like before. (:
Everyone seemed to have grown up, yet there was still something that didn't change.
Can't really pinpoint the exact thing but ya.
Laughed really hard and had lots of fun, took quite some photos too.

4 years after we've graduated from BLG.
Went to different schools, met new people.
I believe everyone changed, in one way or another.
Grown up, maybe is the word to use.
Suddenly, secondary school life's coming to an end, another graduation approaching (not for us but well..)
After months and months without talking to each other, there was this barrier.
Maybe we felt like strangers, quite sad, to think that we were so close back then.
But somehow after awhile, things got better, was easier to talk.
Maybe next time we should go somewhere, sit down and really just chat.
Catch up on each other's life and stuff like that.
Hope that we can still keep in contact no matter what (:
Shall organize more outings end of the year, and hopefully with more outings, we can close in on the distance between us.
Thanks alot to everyone who came, for today. Had a great time, it was nice to recall those memories back then, in contrast to the present, remind each other of all the random and crazy moments we shared in the past.

4 years in NP, in a blink of an eye.

now that we've stepped down,
we're just one step away from losing the final connection with rvnp,
the official ROD.

before today, i didn't really feel much, although fully aware that today's the final act with my s1s.
don't know why, maybe the feeling just didnt dawn upon me.
i wonder how many of them understood what all of us said to them throughout the 4plus months together.
maybe they were too fresh to understand, maybe it all sounded cliche and superficial.
but all we've said, im sure impacted a few.
experience we've shared, i hope can become a guide to them, preventing them from committing the same mistakes.
the time we've spent with them, although not long, i hope is long enough to leave them a good impression of rvnp, long enough to instill some pride of being an rvnp cadet in them.
things are always easier said than done, promises they've made, not all are done.
but at least, i see potentials, i see hope in them.
all im hoping is that their passion dont die as their journey with rvnp continues.
it may not be easy, or rather, it is going to be difficult, but never give up.
it seems a long way to them right now, but the next thing you know, you're the ones stepping down and passing on the unit to the next batch of leaders already.
im sure one fine day, they will understand all that was said today.
(provided that they do remember what was said)
i believe they have what it takes to be an elite squad, really.
with the correct mindset and attitude that they have started with,
just need to continue, make it last.
things will definitely change for the better if that continues.
no matter how harsh we may seem, we've never ever given up on them,

always wondered how life would be after ROD, after step down.
will we still be as close as before, definitely not.
will we become strangers even, i dont want to know.
bonds we've forged, the thought of losing them, i dont want to think further.

rvnp, a place where i learnt alot, a place which helped me grow, watched me grow.
somewhere where i met a group of important people.

I really don't know what's wrong with my life,

things had never been easy, but it was still manageable.

3.5 years and now life smacks me in the face,

friends are leaving one by one.

had a great activity today.
start of act was horrible though.
sun was hot like mad, cadets were dying, drill and attitute was shit.
alot of casualties after sometime.

so decided to be flexible ncos, and exchanged time for interaction and drill.
interaction was quite fun? idk.
did alot of talking w xinyi, while ky had a guy session w the s1 guys.
girls said some really sweet things, heartwarming. (:
told them that friday was last act, and suddenly realised that they were going for swearing-in ceremony on friday.

and now jx says that we're stepping down in mid-june.

had a HTHT with s1s just now, shared Sir Eric's stories, shared experiences, shared our expectations, shared what to expect in s2 and more.
Not sure if they got everything we wanted to express/bring across but hope they did.
trying to stress that SQUADMATES ARE IMPORTANT PEOPLE!

yay 3 cheers for RVGG,
an awesome campfire they put up for us on sat, 15may.
great job girls, it was great, really.
it was nice to have a night of UG.

okay, so before the campfire, went to dinner at CARL'S JR with jx,om,oon,tl,xh.
LOL jx called it COW'S JR. :D
yup, and the burger was HUGE, which i cant finish.
it was delicious though :D

then we rushed back to school cos we realised we were running out of time.
then bus-ed and reached at 6.40pm, so yes we were late LOL
s1s were alr fall-ed in, s2s sat in a circle.
haha so we went for the structure.
nice climb! :D
sad that not all s1s got a try, but nevermind, more chances next yr, next next yr..

ohyes, the red carpet into the hall was nice!
although me and mian walked freaking fast.
(yes, one of the guides commented: "eh, why they walk so fast one?")

all i wanted to say is really, well done NCOs(:
it was great, lots of thanks to SQUADMATES, TOs, officers, cadets, other UGs, everyone else.
although all the lack of sleep, all the scolding of cadets totally drained us out, it was fun.
probably one of the best ITC throughout NP life.
well done to my sec ones, yall survived! (:

something random to add, the field is nice to sleep on, like totally.
and enjoyed the talk (and laugh like mad session) with om, tianli, kenneth and hc before sentry on second night! (funny biscuits, funny everything :D)

yes im back, alive and kicking.
5D4N OBS course at Ubin, together with my watch AMUNDSEN (:
the journey was v enjoyable, fun, memorable, unforgettable and the memories and experience are gna last a lifetime man.
(i cant remember details well, so sorry for any wrong info. HAHA)

Day 1
Carried my barang-barang and went to school w claire.. wanted to meet up with xian (who was w/o her phone), but we were late and couldnt contact her and made her wait for 10min? sorry my dear):
After that we headed for the hall, alot of others were already there.
put down our bags and went to submit all assignments and stuff, bidded goodbye to schoolmates who wasnt going for OBS and said jiayou to sqdmates/classmates/friends from other watches.
Went to settle down at our watch, got to know Kailun :D
Our watch got split up when we board the bus._.
Sang on the bus w kailun and hc, so fun.
hahaa. then the bus dropped us off at OBS Reception Centre, where we waited and listened to the guppy story by one of the instructors.
hahahaha quite brainless but entertaining. xD
After a long long time, our instructor finally appeared, Murali! :D
So we gathered as a group for icebreakers, getting to know each other and settling some admin work.
So i got to know the other 15 nice ppl from my watch, HueyChyi, Yushan, Kailun, Jingqi, Xiuyun, Sue-ann, Cari, Veron, Paola, Nuda, Kenneth, Kinsun, Vincent, Minghong, Yingbo.
So we've got 10 girls and 6 guys, together 16, one Amundsen (:
Took a photo on the first day, everbody posed as Superman (idea from Murali) as yingbo was wearing a superman tee that day. hahaha
Then after which we waited for our turn to take the boat to our campsite, camp 2!
Our Store ICs were Nuda and Kinsun,
Medical ICs Kailun and Yushan,
Food ICs Paola and Jingqi (if im not wrong:X)
okay, i really cant rmb well the roles LOL
yeah, so we reached and Murali collected our valuables, gave us our rations for the 5Days.
Had a super big bag of Happy food (:
then we packed all the Semi-commitment food and the Commitment food together..
After that i think we checked our Store, and put all our food into the store also,
and our bags also?
We also drew our Amundsen tree..
and tried our belaying.. practiced only.
quite fun, first time trying :D
Then Murali taught us how to pitch tents..
Then we outdoor cooked.. rice for dinner!
together with sardines and er.. corn!
wah, it was so heavenly omg, didnt know cans could taste so nice.
and yay, the rice was v nice and cooked hahahaa
After which we cleaned up the mess..
Then we carried on w packing our bags for out-of-camp purposes?
shared a backpack w hc :D
packing took a long long time..
Then we went to sleep and woke up early to continue..
shared a tent w hc, yushan, cari and veron :D
the first night was pretty bad, wasnt drained out, so couldnt slp well and woke up every hour and asked hc abt time.. (sorry hc!)

Day 2
Woke up at 5plus? to pack bags.
Managed to stuff alot things in.
Unpitched tents also.
Carried all our bags to the MPH and had a morning greeting session!
wah, its damn funny omg.
Got Australia (kangaroo), Japan (geisha), New Zealand (cows), Christmas Island (crabs), and i forgot one country with the fish one.
hahaha v fun omg.
like the Japan way of greeting best v funny. :D
after that we had light PT, did 1 set of Basic Ex.
After which we had breakfast and carried our bags (and tents).
And we walked to camp one!
omg i was like dying, although i was only carrying the tent bag. zz
so basically we had rope obs, belaying was so fun. :D
and i attempted both the horizontal thing and the wobbly bridge.
i killed kenneth at the horizontal rope thing (he should know why and stares at nuda and kinsun)
hahahhaa.
then the wobbly bridge was GG. sorry minghong. hahaa he totally gave up belaying after he belayed for me. HAHA
oh yes, and mu check! hahaha

Day 3
Main event sea expedition with buddy watch ARMSTRONG!
yay, our watches woke up hell early to load the bags and prepared ourselves.
i liked the blessing part.
wished for teamwork and we had teamwork!
so yeah.
rowboat's so fun omg.
8 people in a boat, went w hc, yushan, cari, veron, nuda, kenneth and kinsun.
Captain: hueychyi!
damn funny when she kept saying 'eat and pull' instead of 'dip and pull' and everybody started staring at her. xD
and sorry to yushan, kenneth, cari, kinsun and veron cos i kept hitting your hands when we rowed.
but the whole journey was v fun.
heng we didnt get grounded or anything.
and i still cant believe we actually rowed all round ubin, for at least 15km in 6 hours!?!?
hahaha
yeah, was super glad when we were reaching yay.
so we ended up at ketam campsite.
Split up to pitch our tents, change and stuff.
the tents were all dying in the v strong wind.
but yay they didnt collapse onto us at night HAHA
dinner was nice! maggie meeeeeeeeee
was the first few to eat, thanks alot to yingbo for the fire. (:
and it was till then i realised the amundsen girls can really eat man!

yay then pris,om and feli were at ketam also, so went to talk to them for awhile..
(thanks to nuda, kinsun and kenneth for helping out w the trash management of the cans)
Murali also praised us, told us abt how 6hours was impressive. hahaa

Night duty (Sth like sentry) was from 10pm - 10.30pm for girls and 10.30pm - 11pm for guys.
all girls did sentry together :D
then after that went to wake the guys up.
kinsun went into coma HAA and didnt wake up.
v sweet friends (nuda and kenneth) covered up for him. so sweet gosh, v touched. HAHA

Day 4
Main event LAND EXPEDITION
omg thanks alot to hc, she carried our backpack for the whole expedition..
i carried the pole (strung with all the water bottles)
super heavy omg, both shoulders swollen from the carrying.
along the way visited the German Girl's Shrine, the Guanyin Structure (Natural Formantion), etc.
Was resting and chatting w Murali.
Alot jokes and funny things we talked abt.
-Points at Vincent- 'Sounds like a good plan?'
HAHAA omg super funny.
alot catchphrases.
then along the way saw claire and alicia they all.
alicia looks drained totally.
claire's ears badly burnt._.
then we trekked all the way to ubin village.
(so familiar, thats where we went through, when going for ATC and STC)
had sensory trail, when we made wishes.
hope they'll come true yeah.
then we navigated back to camp 2
woohooo.
along the whole land exp yingbo and hc they all sang jay's songs. very entertaining! :D
singing club for the win hahhaa
abt like a turn away from camp 2 gate we got scared by Murali.
Started suspecting ourseleves if we went a wrong way.
so we buy clue from him, sang our school song.

then after we sing finish he say, thats the right way lets go!
Then we huh. then he led the way then we reached in less than 5 min-.-
zzzz feel so cheated HAHA
realised that we should really trust ourselves like not to be easily shaken by others.

we've got EGGS, LUNCHEON MEAT, VEGE, OMG like so many things yay
Yushan is super zai, she totally solo-ed for the fried eggs with onions and luncheon meat
DAMN NICE.
and we had zhabalang soup.
all the veges and stuff inside. wah damn nice also omg.
theres also longbeans cooked by Murali (YAY omg he rocks!)
and rice for dinner!!
wah super nice dinner.
its like what Murali said, first time seeing the guys so enthusiastic throughout the 4 days. HAHA

Main event Jetty Jump
yay v fun, jj.
i think im dumb, totally let go of the life jacket before i even reach the water hahhaa
but quite cool

yay both amundsen and armstrong completed JJ yay
and thats this nice feeling hearing mu say sth like
"My commitment for this OBS course are Amundsen and Armstrong, so im gonna say that you guys rock!"

After that we went to pack/check our store.. After quite long managed to get everything back and stuff..

the girls managed to clean v fast, cos basically it wasnt dirty.
The guys quite poor thing, had to clean the toilets.. they nearly died in there haha.
oxygen masks/tanks on high demand.
After which we went to makan together.. Tuna with bread was heaven (:
Then we completed our Amundsen tree, v pretty end-product.. It was a sort of collage..
Wonder where is it now, will post up photo once we get it back.. :D
Then we proceeded on with giving out of certs and photos and stuff.

Mu made us give out the certs to our fellow watch-mates, very nice of him..
gave each other a pat on the back and said well done..
And that pretty much marks the end of the 5 days.

We'll stay strong, as one Amundsen, and stay bonded together for as long as its possible.
Thanks for all the support, all the trust, all the laughters, all the fun and happiness yall brought over the days, it really made OBS a totally wonderful experience that i never wanna forget.
May the 16 of us stay bonded, have lots of outings in the future.

YAY TODAY WAS DAMN FUN OMG (:

today no lessons due to school anniversary (tmr!) and learning symposium!
so yeah, y3,4,5 and 6 reported to school at 12nn for LS.

so yeah, the day started off w waking up at 7am,
leaving hse at 7.35am and reaching JE MRT at 8am (arnd there) :D
met w jx, om, ky and hc.
(LOL ky was 6min late and hc was THIRTY MINS late)
so yeah, waited until hc came, then went off for our run to BL MRT.
was supposed to be a sqd run but only a few came -.-
anw, yeah so we ran. my stamina is really bad, was slowing the whole grp down ):
but thanks sqdmates for the encouragements and jiayous along the way (:
and thanks to hc and ky, who ran at my speed (tolerating haha)
oh and yes, ky's '1,2,3,4. (slow) 1,2,3,4,1 (fast) clap clap' rhythm haha
and it was really nice, to have survived the whole journey.
ran past all the MRTs along the way and past BLG (:
v nice feeling. but really have to train my timing .________.

after that we walked to safra jurong (wanting to bathe)
but realised their toilets dont have the shower LOL
went to their swimming pool but couldnt buy the tix cos we dont have NETS ._.
then went to gym but couldnt use the toilet cos only for members -.-
so we took a photo outside Jack's Place before heading off to JP.
washed up at JP's toilet, changed into school uniform before meeting the rest of squadmates at kopitiam :D
lunched at kopitiam, jx they all went for 4E class lunch?
then yeah, couldnt finish my rice cos was too full from the bubbletea we drank.
(anw, cool fact: OM ate lesser than me, unbelievable!)
then after that we left for the bus interchange at 11.40 sth?
waited for 198, but in the end only boarded the bus at 11.56.
alot of rvians on the bus though, so not that bad :D

was late when we alighted then the whole grp of rvians rushed into school.
met up with 4C ppl, then went into the hall.
watched a video on RV Big Walk, nice (:
after that went off for LS.
walked around w suza and shirley (chin).
went to listen to the NWSP projects.
the project we're working on seems so noob compared to theirs LOL
along the way suza and shirley totally influenced me to spam sms for the sms contest.
HAHA voted for shaotan's group like mad.
damn fun, got addicted to spamming msgs HAHA
after the LS we went back to hall for keynote speech and prize presentation.

First up, YES i updated:D after many many spams and struggles. hahahaa

(well, in case you haven't realise, all that i wanna say is in the msg i've sent you early this morning, so :D)

yes, its been ABOUT a month of holidays and i can't believe time is flying -.-
one more month and of holidays and none of my hw is touched, yes, NONE.
okay, im a piece of dead meat i know and theres still extra work (CID4, NWSP._______.)
okay i shall stop complaining.

yes, 2B'o8 chalet was crazehhhhhhhh:D
enjoyed it so much, yes, i missed them so much that i went damn high.
well, the usual chalet stuff took place.. had it at costa sands (pasir ris), although cockroaches there were disgusting as ever, it was really fun!
great thanks to mummy who went to check in for us! :D
and yes, suzanne and shirley totally made my day at the chalet cos of mahjong! [not gonna state the details and make them paiseh.. but suza, PONG! -laughs hysterically-]
kbox was great too! yay, half of the class went sia. sang our lungs out (literally!)
really, it felt like time went back, went back to our 2008 chalet, where we were at kbox too.. (:

had so many many acts during this holidays.. many of which are nine hours..
okay best part of nine-hour acts, LUNCH:D yes, sqdmates go out to dabao for us!
totally loved the part when we were opening the damn long string of macs monopoly game pieces, really, it was :D:D:D:D:D

yes, one of the most memorable acts i had.. last act, on 201109. :D
first act taking sqd (: yay. so ya, took the s2s.. (since jovi and oon werent around..)
so the s1 ics in action! took them for 5 and a half hour of drill.. taught them pandan and kekenan puseng on the march. they really had potential ya, this sqd (:
main problem was all of us werent loud enough.. guess we need some voice projection lessons.. :X
they were v coorperative actually, so had lots of fun..
hope they did enjoy the act like we did..
received both positive and some negative feedback from them.. thanks for that sectwos! we'll try to improve where we can!
suddenly realised s1s are coming in real quick, must really work hard together soon my dear fellow ics (:

and er what else... hmmm yes,
tuesday had sqd outing plus bd celebration for om and zl!
had lunch at pizza hut and was quite lame diao by how to cake was delivered out -___________-
hahah but it was really fun, and nice food! (hope van can upload the photos up on fb soon!)
and yes, we watched 2012 after that.. it was not bad in my opinion, worth the money. but sqdmates were all dozing off?!? hahaha. the sasha guy is hot! (yes, i know wying agrees totally!) but yeah, not bad show really. (:

Just reached home, back from Inter-Unit Air Pistol Competition held by Maris Stella High (:
woke up early and met ongmin and ky at je mrt before making our way to MSH.
was in the second detail, ky was in first and om in fourth.
and met the yuzi guy from stc (acsi) at MSH..
had fun, exactly same feeling like last year when 6 of us went for the same competition.
will be the last few chances we're getting to hold the pistol. ):
hoping that new RV will have a range. :D
and yep, MSH is a nice host, just like last year~
had fun talking to om and oky who made me laugh like crazy.
today is an unforgettable one, not only because of the competition but because of funny and brilliant sqdmates!

trying to prioritise my stuff properly, so that i dont screw up anything.

and i love my fellow ics, super coorperative and (fun!) bunch.

they really helped alot with their (funny) but constructive comments and opinions.

lots of thanks to our capable CC head alicia too, for the monthly plan for my dearest sec ones.

and thanks to PTIs who are racking their brains to plan goals for the little ones too (:

(feel so old calling them the little ones but oh well...)

long time since shyt-c went out/go home/go school together.

HAPPY TEACHER'S DAY TO ALL TEACHERS:D
thanks for all the care and concern, all the patience, all the time and effort yall have spent on us. (:
may yall stay passionate and smile more!

went to school with tseyin and claire early in the morning..
concert this year was great. :D (well done SCs!)
nice performances are mostly the song items.. namely..
qian li zhi wai by mr ong(!) and two other guys (: nice vocals!
chuan shuo by shaowei and some girl who has real power voice (love her voice, totally!)
the bands who performed! (omg kahyen was one of the drummers!)
omg chorale's performance was great too! (3C owns lah! all our chorale members were so coooool! especially mengni and tiankai!)
and last but least, THE BEST OUT OF ALL: NOBODY BY THE THREE GIRLS + FRANCIS AND ERNCHUEN.

that was the best performance RV ever had i guess(:
its so nice that its undescribable.
they are SHEN.
they sang in KOREAN okay, pro dao siao.
they sang the slow version first.. super nice.
then suddenly changed to the fast version and they DANCED.
ernchuen and francis joined in lahhhhhhh so cute.
sexy like crazy lah all 5 of them!
it was the EXACT steps kay, wah seriously nice until want to vomit blood.
the entire hall high until die alr..
seriously, damn nice.
the teachers even stood up to clap for them.

hope there will be more performances of such standards in the future!

and after that rushed down to jp for lunch with primary school friends.
met with ling, daniel, ceksin and kangjing.
mathew and sheih joined us for some time before going movie with their friends..
and saw er.. kaiting, zhixin, wanyi, vanessa they all.

had a fun time laughing and talking to all of them..
long time since we really sat down and talked like that.
once a year a gathering, really meaningful and nice.

after lunch went walk walk in jp, talked and laughed.

It would appear that you are experiencing one problem after another. When one problem is resolved, another seems to immediately take its place. RVNP ROD 2009.

yes, it all ended, in a flash.
yes, ROD was yesterday night, it went pretty well i guess.
much gratitude goes to my dearest sqd, the bangbang squad!
and of course, many thanks to officers, ncos, juniours and PA crew too!

well, i read alicia's blog and cried.
it was not that touching, many would say.
but going through the whole planning process, and working hard together with squadmates,
after all these and reading that post, it really touches my heart.
thanks alicia, that was a really great post.

and of couse, i must apologise to everybody, for all the disputes we had, all the confusions here and there.
especially the mix-up of timings. sorry for making everyone so luan4.
also, squadmates, sorry for screaming/shouting at you guys.
i really wanted us to put in our best thats why, sorry if i was being too much, too mean, too unreasonable.

and much thanks to juniors for helping out, by coorperating.

are in the making.

had LMSC (Leadership and Mentoring Skills Course) at ACSI on 10-11 June.
alot schools attended. (:
attendance for bangbang was 20 :D
i think 5 or 6 went on 8-9 june (:
so yup, our attendance was great:D

so for the course..
was actually very scared cos all the HOs were there..
and sir xiaoyi was there T.T

so yup, we went to put our bags in one of the classrm (classrm 3)..
and then proceeded to chapel for briefing or something.
so we sat down and i saw nitro! (:
and then after that we were split up into our different squads.
RV was in squad 6!
instructors were sir jinhui and sir simon (:
and so we had lectures and stuff..
activities were quite sian cos well, everybody was quite low._.

in one of the activities, was sabo-ed to be squad i/c (just for awhile:D)
-sir simon asked for someone who had surname TAN T.T-
and had an AI/C from pioneer sec, jiawei(?)..
it was the "set your goals for the course" activity..
so yup, tried my best to make them talk and discuss.
was really tough cos most were just stoning and dying..
glad that jingxian, weiying, ongmin they all were helping alot:D
conclusion: being a leader is never easy(:

OH. met faizul(?) also.
he's in pioneer sec. also in squad 6:D
and i think i caught a glimpse of zhengxiong on the second day when going home..

yup, basically we had alot of lectures and after each lecture we had games to round it up.
tried my best to stay awake during the lectures..

on the first day sir xiaoyi told us to stay back after dismissal.
okay, we were seriously damn scared, until we nearly all hyperventilate-.-
damn scary.
so we all fall in outside the chapel as instructed.
ALOT sirs and ma'ams came out of the chapel and started asking why we were there.
got one nice sir was like asking..
so he said nevermind, i let yall sit down.
just before he said "on your butts down" sir xy appeared LOL.
drama k.
then we were like all damn scared then in the end he SMILED.
and asked for our june schedule.
then we were like O.O
and yup, we called up squadmates and came up with the schedule (thanks wying!)
and gave him and he chased us off to change and go home..
we had the BIG BIG question mark in our heads.
he actually smiled k LOL!
okay im making him sound like a super evil guy but no hes SUPER NICE:D

the second day we had lectures and games..
and games were quite fun..
enjoyed it :D
we attempted the "get in a circle and sit down on each other's laps" game.
HAHAHA. but we failed-.-
but it was super funny.
learnt alot from this course..
very glad the SIs were treating us as leaders already..

and yes, leaders are in the making..

seems like lady luck wasnt actually happy with us today and yes, to put it simply, bad luck.
everybody sort of screwed up the shoot.

well, no matter what, good job guys.

er.. lots had happened over the past few days, really really busy like mad._.

first up, inter-sch shooting comp.
was thrashed:X
well, basically cuz the other schools sent their shooting club ppl and yup.. we all died.
but well, it was actually super fun. although the waiting killed all of us..
thanks to feli for scoping. and hope jnrs had fun too(:
and the guys went on the next day, 27mar.
i seriously wanna strangle OKY. he can go die lor.
i seriously believed him that he got national 10th and matt 8th lor. wlau. somemore i went around telling (almost) everybody okay!!!

gosh. holidays, the whole week, got KILLED by my fever, flu and cough okay.

itc was really great,
guess it was the best out of the three we went.
turned out to be less tough than we expected..

the special part was really awesome okay.
i feel that we've bonded throughout the whole camp.
like i saw the life in our squad once again, really a nice feeling.

thanks, i feel really blessed today, knowing that so many people out there really love me. hahah. this sounds pretty awkward but oh well.. (:

fifteen years ago, on this same day, i was born(so were junwei,huiwen,richmond and benjamin)
haha. thinking back, really thankful to mummy and daddy.
without them, i wouldnt be here typing away, enjoying life as it is.
although life isnt very smooth-sailing all the time, i've experienced it and im glad i did.
thankful for everything i've got now, treasuring them, loving each and everyone around me.

in the end we decided on mc chicken + fries for everybody.

today was the big day -- DRILL PROMO.
it killed. serious.

well, i woke up at a freaking 5.15am.
and went out at like 6.30am cuz daddy came to fetch:D

and yep, we practiced drill abit, checked each other's uni, etc.

the promo itself was a LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONG process..
8am to like.. 5+ pm?
minus lunch time, etc, around seven hours of drill under the bright smiling sun._.
was timer twice, rejected by ma'am when i tried to do it the third time..
matthew's timing was quite good too, ongmin was the best:D
and lets see... woc totally killed me. my mind went... BLANK._.
and er.. kenneth's WOC sounded like he was in NDP, commanding the whole stadium that kind. made me laugh okay. bet alot ppl saw me vibrating-.-
and haokuan was the extreme. the ankak merah was totally DAMN FUNNY. i vibrated like a dont know what shit-.-

im so so glad that it went well, although many obstacles and problems were thrown to us through the process.. (:

well.. let's talk about the chalet itself..

16dec2008 (first day)
9 am met at fajar lrt with jingxian, ongmin, xiuhan, tianli, matthew, jovi and hancong..
went up to get charcoal. and went on our way to tiongbahru plaza to 'lunch'.
ate dessert with tianli while the rest ate their lunch..

after lunching, the rest got dessert too.
the guys started playing with the food lo. hahaha. so mature yea~ xD
and after that we set off to pasir ris mrt.
took a wrong bus, alighted at a further bus stop and bus-ed 11 to e-hub..
went shopping at ntuc, took two of the trolleys k. damn cool. wahahhaa.
and we went around the whole ntuc buying all the stuff we needed.
after buying we wheeled one of the trolleys to the chalet.
after leaving the stuff outside the chalet, tianli and i wheeled back the empty trolley back to e-hub, but was super embarrasing cuz it kept "vibrating" and produced weird sound along the way, on uneven ground. super funny.
then when we were walking through the escape carpark, there was this small guy who said:
"you all funny ar, take empty one for what?"
we stopped and laughed like hell when he went off. damn funny k. xD joke lah.
then we went for lunch at mr.chicken rice.
$5.50 k. damn ex. and worse still, the tofu was spicy, nearly killed me. hahaha.
after that we made our way back to the chalet and stoned for awhile before we went to start the fire..
basically the guys like matthew and jovi were starting the fire, with the help of khinyin..
and the first attempt failed cuz the fire burnt through the base of aluminium trayl and the pressure caused it to burn below, burning a HOLE in the plastic table we used. :X
super smelly can. and i think we super qiang2. :X
so we changed plan and placed the aluminium tray directly on the seat outside the chalet and yep, it went well..
although we managed to get the bbq pits ready, according to sir oh and khinyin, our sqd's bbq skills still didnt improve.. hahahah. think we're really helpless when it comes to cooking. xD
and basically, bbq was like usual, just that there were alot alot of food, just kept bbq-ing and bbq-ing.
it was fun though, bbq-ing with sqdmates:D
around 8.30pm, six of us went k-box. :D
tianli, me, vanessa, pris, jingxian and xinyi. :D
was freaking fun..
i got the k-box membership, on behalf of the squad.. sqdmates, anytime wanna go k-box tell me k? (:
the card is freaking nice and cute. ;D
the k-box cost arnd sixteen per person, got two drinks per person and sang from 8.30pm to 1.40pm..
damn fun lo. we got room 11. :D
p/s. the lemon honey/honey lemon(hot) damn nice, although a little too sweet, but good for throat, can sing more if drink that. [i drank two cups of that]
so we sang sang sang.
damn sad that jingxian didnt sing any songs):

and pris only sang a few songs.
haha. i like singing with tianli, super nice:D

me, jingxian and tianli went to bathe..
wanted to bathe at poolside toilet but got too many ppl so only jingxian got to bathe there..
saw sheihyin(?), sheihli's sis there, super qiao k. :D
and then we went to the downtown toilet to bathe instead..
after bathing, we went back..
then tianli and i went to the poolside benches to talk.
i think we talked till 5 liddat..
its like damn funny..
cuz i was so tired that i was talking but mentally falling aslp.
then i talktalktalk, dont know what i was talking..
then suddenly tianli was like 'HUH.'.
xia dao wo, i jumped and woke up.
i rmbed i talked super randomly and said sth abt boxes.. LOL.
laughed like hell can, what a joke..
then the two of us made our way back at arnd five, and went to slp till arnd seven..

17dec2008 (second day)
woke up, washed up, breakfasted on cup noodles with braised peanuts (canned).
i think i cut my thumb while opening the can or sth, so yea, got a deep cut that bleed.
pain but haihao, not very visible. lol.
then jingxian, pris and vanessa left, went home..
then the the five of us wanted to go escape, went to ask the guys..
then well. they didnt want to come with us, and we had tickets for six, so khinyin came with us.
he's nice(:
and we went to play the flipper first..
khinyin commented that it was like bbq-ing us..
the scorching sun and the turning of the seats. hahaha. super funny, and tianli and i laughed at him throughout the whole ride. xD
then we went viking i think..
sat on the topmost with dear oonhim. :D
damn funny. khinyin sat infront of us..
then he at first not scared.. then cuz the two of us screamed then he tensed up...
hahahhaha. oonhim was damn hyper. xDD
was freaking fun..
then we went to the family coaster.. sat with tianli. hahaha. fun k.
damn sad that the rainbow and inverter was closed):
then i forgot what else we took..
then the guys called up and a series of things happened which i wont elaborate on..
then we lunch-ed at the kopitiam at downtown there..
then went cheers to get mineral water before going back to chalet..
the guys played cards in the nco room..
oonhim, xinyi and feli 'napped' on the bottom flr..
me and tianli rested on the stairs..
khinyin was on the second flr, playing psp.
then it was damn funny cuz tianli wanted to return khinyin the money for the mineral water on behalf of xinyi they all.
then he dowan take.
so they started debating and it was freaking funny..
there was sth like..

then they woke up, then linhan came..
then ex-ncos (guys) came along..
so yea, khinyin went to join his sqd while the ten of us went to escape...
funny lah. we went viking.. and the guys got freaking funny expressions lor.
i laughed like hell at them..
then we went to take a few of the other rides too.. then we took a photo before kenneth went off.

then tianli and i started cleaning up the room since nobody else was really arnd..
after that we went dinner with the guys at the e-hub kopitiam..

then when the two of us reached the chalet, matthew and jovi was on their way to send linhan and hancong off.

then ex-ncos sharman and clarine came and was talking/playing with jnrs..
then the four of us sat on the stairs watching tv. :D
tianli and i boiled potatoes with the kettle. damn nice k. :D
the guys and ex-ncos ate too. hahaha.
and after the show, jnrs went off to arcade while ex-ncos went to the other room..
the four of us played dai di on the second flr.
damn freaking funny k, that matthew and jovi.
made the two of us laugh like hell.
i must say that it was damn fun having them around. :D
then arnd 11plus we stopped and went to bathe.
after that we came back and continued dai di upstairs.

played damn long.. and jovi was so tired..

talked abt japanese prank shows, itc, and alot other funny stuff.
and jovi was complaining that i laughed super loudly._.
then we all decided to slp at arnd twoplus.
four of us slept horizontally on the two beds.
jovi and matthew shared a pillow, tianli didnt want a pillow, so i took a pillow.
then we were talking talking..
then tianli fell aslp, followed by jovi..
then the two of us talked till jovi complained again that i was too loud._.
then jnrs came back, then we went to open door for them.. :D

18dec2008 (last day)
woke up at arnd eight, then went wash up, clear all the stuff..
we boiled fishballs like how we boiled potatoes and ate.
nice k, the fishballs. :D
then we cleaned up stuff, pack stuff here and there..
then when it was almost all done, the four of us continued ytd's dai di game.
super funny. laughed alot.
then after that ncos went off..
then we got everything we wanted, checked the other room and came back to continue the game till ten..
then we went to wake clarine and sharman up..
then went downstairs and waited for jnrs to wake up.
then we got everything and check-ed out..
went white sands, breakfasted and mrt-ed back.

and now im at home typing away~

basically, i would say that the chalet was a success and i enjoyed myself, really. (:

im in a bad mood, maybe not bad. to be exact, its out of disappointment and sadness.
i once thought that they were not that bad, but now thinking back, i see unfairness, i see injustice. why? why are we doing all these when some people obviously dont give a damn? i thought that we could stand all that, that one day, things will change for the better. but now, im losing the drive, its too much, too tiring. how are we supposed to keep ourselves motivated when people just keep disappointing us?

drill prac in school today was pretty alright(:

today's baton drill refreshed memory:D
got to practise all the timings and stuff.
was great.
discussed some chalet stuff too, will need further discussions though..
will collect money from junior tmr. hope they've collected at least some 100bucks? :D

watched cape no. seven with tianli and xinyi at vivo just now, after drill prac.
went shopping with xinyi.
not really shopping, just walking around, waiting for tianli.
hope her knee gets better.. (:
went to PAGEONE with xinyi.
dont really go to bookstores, and today's an exception. haha.
and was 'fed' with books k, till we were too full to eat lunch. haha.
you know like 精神粮食. we must be mad. :D
and saw a few books that i like alot, will check out the library soon~~ ;D

watched advertisement for: half an hour.
it was in hall six.
seats: D-05 [wt], D-06 [xy], D-07 [tl] if im not wrong..
it was almost a full house in the theatre.
freaking nice show k.
i wanna watch it a second time!

super love this movie k. 不愧得金马奖:D
although the plot is about the simple life of taiwanese people, but really 把它拍得很美:D
because of simplicity, that's why 很真实，看了很舒服. (:
all the beautiful sceneries add on to the beauty of the movie.
all the rainbows, the ocean, the sunset, everything. so nice, so sweeet. (:
preetaye(:
without all the grand scenes, the movie brought out the natural beauty of the town -- 〈恒村〉.

it's touching, not teary.
it doesn't really make people cry, but it warms people's hearts.
the tragic love story..
the concert part was the best i would say.
after all the hard work, the "final product".
it was really great, with the pretty sunset, the hyper audience, the best band.
wonderful is the word. perfect. touching.
the 茂伯 is CUTE:D
he owns:D
and 范逸臣 is really shuai, got style k.
田中千绘 is PRETTAYE:D
the 马拉桑 guy is really -speechless- ! :D totally COOLSHYT k. :D
he reminds me of yaozhong i dont know why. hahahah. :D
i love the necklace 友子 got for everyone of the band, super nice.
